The Deco's design logic is architectural rather than organic — flat planes meeting at deliberate angles, with the glass shell carrying the visual weight and the core sitting inside it as a separate, removable element. That separation is what makes the piece serviceable: each component can be cleaned individually rather than the whole assembly being rinsed around a fixed interior. The 14 mm slide is the standardized joint size across the NWTN line, so bowls and slides from the Vesper, Bolla, and Highball families interchange with it. The silicone gasket is a wear item — it does the sealing work that keeps the assembly stable in use, and it should be inspected periodically for stiffness, discoloration, or loss of grip, and replaced when it stops seating cleanly. Borosilicate was chosen for its resistance to thermal shock and its low thermal expansion, which is what allows the glass to handle temperature changes without the stress fractures soda-lime glass develops; it is not indestructible, and it will not survive a hard knock against a sink or countertop. Hand washing with a soft brush and a mild cleaner is the safest routine; abrasive pads and gritty scouring powders will dull the finish over time and should be avoided. Dry the components fully before reassembly so the gasket seats dry and the joints stay clean. The Deco sits best where it can be seen — a shelf, a sideboard, a table with room around it — and the piece is built with the assumption that it will live out in the open rather than in a cabinet.
