Curiosity with a method.
Exploring lawful research, applied instrumentation, agricultural pilots, and technical education with qualified partners.
Best Public-Facing Explainers
From research idea to responsible project
The portfolio proposes practical questions around botanical preservation, measurements, agricultural systems, mycology, and technical education. The goal is to turn those ideas into small, measurable collaborations with qualified institutions and advisors, rather than presenting untested theories as established science.
Researchers and institutions should expect written protocols, data governance, budgets, publication rights, and any required regulatory or ethics approvals before work begins.
Applied cannabis and botanical research — MACRI
The proposed Mississippi Applied Cannabis Research Institute (MACRI) seeks an evidence-led approach to storage, preservation, cannabinoid and terpene questions, analytical measurement, traceability, lawful agricultural data, and, only with proper approvals, certain health-related research questions including dysautonomia/POTS. The initial emphasis is on achievable, lower-regulatory-complexity research questions and responsible institutional discussions.
No independent research institute, clinical study, IRB approval, university partnership, or research-facility authorization is claimed. Formal regulated work would require a qualified host, legal pathway, scientific oversight, and approval before any participants or samples are involved. Explore MACRI.
Field science and infrastructure — Black Box Fields
The proposed field site brings together environmental sensors, resilient communications, local computing, aquaponics, mushroom systems, agricultural instrumentation, and safe supervised training. Concepts such as the Living Grid, Mesh Orchard, and Silicon Pasture describe potential integrated testbeds, not finished installations. Explore Black Box Fields.
Mycology economics and validation — MRE
The mycology workstream focuses on assessing commercial gourmet mushroom production with realistic equipment, energy, labor, food safety, crop performance, logistics, and buyer-contract assumptions. Supplier claims and historical quotations require independent confirmation before any bankable forecast can be issued. Explore MRE Precision Mycology.
Workforce education and public access
Technical Education & Security envisions practical, lawful instruction in source verification, defensive OSINT, Python, local AI, privacy, networking, sensing, and operations. Found and Feral explores public-benefit maker learning, repair, and access for rural communities. These would have their own safeguarding, institutional, and organizational requirements. See technical education and Found and Feral.
What a collaborative proposal should include
- A clearly bounded research or learning question and the people it serves.
- A proposed lead organization and the legal authority to perform the activity.
- Required equipment, analytical methods, samples, facilities, and safety procedures.
- Data stewardship, participant consent if applicable, publication rights, IP and conflict disclosures.
- Funding source, budget, milestones, oversight, and a plan to report negative as well as positive findings.
