MRE Precision Mycology | Controlled Growing Systems

Turn commercial mushroom production into a measured business case—not a spreadsheet of optimistic yield promises.

Current status: Under evaluation. The founder's ownership of a separate mycology company, specific equipment, buyer rights, or signed contracts has not been verified.

A business case for gourmet mushroom production

MRE Precision Mycology explores whether carefully controlled mushroom growing can become a dependable food and education business. That means evaluating equipment, actual growing conditions, labor, food-safety needs, perishable inventory, and paying buyers—not simply repeating advertised production yields.

A purchase, contract, buyer commitment, financing offer, or profit forecast should not be assumed until independently documented.

The vision

MRE Precision Mycology explores gourmet mushroom production, controlled-environment trailer systems, food-safety processes, operator training, substrate experimentation, and repeatable crop data. Proposed products and cultivation models include culinary mushrooms such as lion’s mane and king trumpet, with possible future educational programs and business-to-business sales.

The problem worth solving

Compact farming can appear profitable in marketing materials while understating labor, energy costs, growing losses, perishability, transport, food regulations, and buyer rejection. This project centers on reconstructing production economics and verifying agreements before committing to equipment or financing.

Program and operating workstreams

  • Source diligence: examine all supplier quotes, design drawings, operating manuals, proposed purchase contracts, and claimed performance records.
  • Unit economics: model usable yield per cycle, labor, consumables, maintenance, energy, refrigeration, packaging, and delivered selling price.
  • Quality and safety: design food-safe handling, traceability, contamination monitoring, cleaning, and local regulatory compliance.
  • Buyer validation: assess restaurant, grocery, distributor, and potential contracted-buyer demand—including realistic acceptance specifications.
  • Grow-environment engineering: document airflow, humidity, temperatures, controls, alarms, water, and redundancy.
  • Training and replication: translate documented grow practices into operator checklists and lessons.
  • Proof before scale: test a small legal pilot to refine the production model and forecast actual cash needs.

Business or funding model

Possible revenue could include mushrooms sold to licensed buyers, food-service supply agreements, cultivation-system consulting, technical training, research services, or validated value-added food concepts. Historically discussed trailer prices, financing models, buyer commitments, and earnings projections are not current offers or verified investor returns.

Development priorities

  • Reacquire and verify signed primary agreements, supplier representations, and intellectual-property permissions.
  • Build conservative, base, and optimistic cash-flow cases with all owner labor included.
  • Confirm food handling, growing-site, waste, insurance, and distribution obligations.
  • Interview prospective buyers and document actual specifications, payment terms, and minimums.
  • Determine whether a pilot is economically justified before equipment purchase.

Who we want to hear from

Food buyers, restaurant groups, controlled-environment agriculture experts, mycologists, engineers, food-safety advisors, and financing partners prepared to review underlying documents.
